What is dyslipidemia?
Dyslipidemia is represented by diseases due to imbalances regarding lipids (ie fats) in blood.
Types of fats in foods are:
- Saturated fats: generally solid at room temperature (butter, grease, lard, bacon, cream, cream);
- Polyunsaturated fats: most liquid (most vegetable oils, except cocoa butter, coconut);
- Monounsaturated fat: liquid (olive oil).
To avoid such problems, recommend the following tips regarding diet:
- Reduce fats and avoid saturated ones. Limit daily fat consumption to 30% of calories, which should represent 10% saturated fat.
- Cholesterol 100 mg/1000 horse must represent more than 300 mg / day (for details and clarifications please ask your doctor);
- Reduce the amount of cholesterol consumed

Among the prohibited foods include:
- Fatty meats, sausages, offal, preserved, eggs (whites only and not allowed more than 1-2 egg yolks per week), pasta with eggs, dried beans, dried peas.
- Animal fats (butter, cream, bacon, lard).
- Sweets banned: all egg preparations, ice, cream butter, cream, fruit cake
- Oil (nuts, peanuts), chocolate and sweets generally concentrated.
- Are permitted (but not large) fibers prepared sweets (foam, meringues), fruit tarts, fruit gelatin, skimmed milk rice.
- Fruits are allowed except: figs, dates, almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, plums, bananas
